Genesis

2002

To start off on the journey into the unseen you have to embark on a vessel that takes you to unknown destinations. You have to let go of fixed ideas and intentions, only then you are free enough to go into new worlds.

Exodus

2002

The shell houses a complete inner world, still sleeping under the moon. The horizon shows a sky full of awakening birds that announce the morning. The flame of spirituality burns to lead the way into a new world.

Inspiration

Inspiration can come from many different sides, but expressing it the right way is a delicate matter in which mind and body are in a vulnerable equilibrium.

Tree Of Wisdom

There are many lights burning in the tree of Spiritual Wisdom. Which one to follow? Every choice has its own consequences. One has to choose with the heart and mind. A promising light is shining in the distance...

Noah's Ark

All of us embark on a life's journey with unthinkable destinations. Allthough there might be lights along the way, what's to be found once you set foot on the island in the distance? Be carefull where to drop your anchor!

Omnia mea mecum porto

This pen and ink drawing was made as the illustration for one of my poems, carrying the same name. Sometimes you have to take off to unknown places, without caring for other peoples' opinions. You must fly away and leave all behind, carrying only your own small light in the darkness.

This artwork differs from the rest because it was made after reality. It is a watercolour of one of the very old and beautiful Gumtrees on the island Sint Eustatius.
